STRINGS Day with the Benedetti Foundation

The Benedetti Foundation is delighted to be working in partnership with Theatr Clwyd Music to bring our Residency Sessions to you on Friday 27th March.

Young string players (violin and cello), from year 4 to year 9 and working from open strings to Grade 3 and above level are invited to join us for a day of making music together. Please note no exams need to have been taken and these grades are given as a guideline. Players should have had at least one term’s lessons and be able to use the bow before signing up.

This day has been designed for you. We want you to absorb as much as possible, leave any nerves or worries at the door and be relaxed, yet focused. Intense, yet calm. Our sole intention is to inspire you.

On the day, we will be working on two contrasting pieces of music and in order for us all to gain the most from the workshop, we will require some preparation from you as we work towards the sessions. It doesn’t have to take long, but consistency is key. We will be sharing tutorial videos and a play along track to help you all with your practice. These will be shared with all those who are registered by your teachers and Music Service.

On the day, we will be working with an amazing team of tutors and will also have a group of our Ambassadors (conservatoire students) with us who will be working with you as well.

This day is free to attend and has been generously supported by Colwinston Charitable Trust and Gwendoline and Margaret Davies Charity.
